Children's Holy Hour
Several times throughout the year the children will have the opportunity to adore our Lord through a short Children’s Holy Hour. These Holy Hours are meant to introduce children to the practice of spending time with Our Lord in prayer and adoration. Please check the Religious Education Calendar for the R.E. sessions that will include a mini Holy Hour (generally it is the first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month).
Please also make sure that on these days of adoration your children are dressed in an appropriate manner; keep in mind that they will be in the Church in the real presence of the Lord in His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. The love and respect we offer to Jesus should be shown not only in our attitude but even in our dress. This does not mean that we have to wear a suit or dress; but it does mean that all immodest dress should be avoided.
Here is the Holy Hour Booklet that is used for the brief Children’s Holy Hour.
Dress Code
All students are to dress modestly. Shorts worn by students in the middle school grades (grades 6, 7 and 8) must be “Bermuda length,” just above the knee or longer. Articles of clothing which depict drugs, alcohol, profanity, weapons, and sexual innuendo are forbidden.
Halter tops, tank tops, shirts showing the midriff, spaghetti straps or any style that may be considered immodest should not be worn. Dress code violators will be warned, and on the second offense they will be sent home.
Boys must remove hats upon entering the building.
