Explore the Depths!
Join us for Large Group, Small Group, social and service trips.
Inspiration behind the theme:
Faith is a journey, and as pilgrims we are all at different points. I think Catholicism can be compared to the ocean (you will come to find out I am all about analogies). At first glance, it might seem we have seen all that there is to see when looking out at the surface of the ocean. However, the further we immerse ourselves the more we discover. We have our ankle deep folks, snorkelers, and deep sea scuba divers. How far are you willing to venture? This year, I invite you to Explore the Depths whether it’s with Large Group (more of a surface swim) or Small Group (puttin’ on the snorkeling gear). Along with our regular Youth Group nights, there will also be opportunities for social and service trips.
Junior High Program Outline:

Lights, Camera, Faith in Action!
Join us for Large Group, social and service trips.
Goal of the theme:
While in Junior High, 7th and 8th graders are still in Religious Education classes, and continue to learn the Faith. However, it is my hope to take them from the head to the heart. Living the Faith is different than knowing the Faith. This year’s theme was picked in order to encourage those in junior high to put their Faith into action. We are all called to personal holiness, and through this pursuit we can change the world. The second goal of this theme is to see Christ in all things even secular movies. In order to reflect this, I will be drawing from movie clips.
